We'll have DJ ⚡ Volter and the Pearling Principle coming from out of town to headline for us, backed by Boston's amazing local talent.

Event Basics

  • Registration: We’re hoping to open registration during the first week of October for weekend passes! We’ll also have a la carte at the door options for everything.

  • Venues: Our venues are spacious, so we don’t anticipate anything selling out except Shut Up and Dance with Me

  • Housing with local dancers: We’re planning to connect out-of-town dancers with local dancers who are willing to host. It’s a fun way to meet new people, make connections, and create memories you’ll treasure! We’ll send out a call for volunteers soon, and the registration form will include a place to indicate housing need.

  • Carpools: We’re planning to organize carpools to and from the Saturday venue. Billerica, MA is only a 30-minute drive from Somerville/Cambridge/Boston, but public transit options, especially later at night, are limited. We’ll do our best to make getting there and back easy and social, if you have a car with space, please sign up to help drive people when we send out the call.

  • Pricing: Prices are not final, but we anticipate a sliding scale of weekend passes at $50, $95, and $145. Saturday Dinner and Friday night Shut Up and Dance with Me will be additional charges.

  • Policy and conduct: Please help us keep the space comfortable and welcoming for everyone by avoiding scented products. We have folks in our community with allergies and sensitivities, and we really appreciate everyone being mindful of this! We'll have a photos/video ok zone at Second Sun Rising.   • COVID stuff: Masks are currently optional at all venues except Blues Union. If you're traveling by air, we would appreciate folks masking in airports and on subways.
