Portrait of DJ Volter
DJ

DJ ⚡ Volter (Kyle)

Volter discovered partner dance via Lindy Hop and Blues in Orlando, Florida, in 2012, and from then on was hooked! He set about learning as many styles as possible, became obsessed with the music, and started DJing.

While also cofounding Orlando's fusion scene, Volter has served as a traveling DJ from coast to coast, both physically and virtually. His sets weave musical adventures and performances that tug at dancers' inner minds and coax them to play and connect with the music and the energy, until they can't help but move to the tunes—and the thunder.

Portrait of Brendan, DJ Lustre
Instructor & DJ

The Pearling Principle
Brendan - DJ Lustre

Brendan grew up social dancing to Motown tunes at his family's house parties. During college, he toured with an international folk dance ensemble. He learned Lindy Hop while hanging out with the legendary Frankie Manning, and later taught the dance at leading New York City dance schools, including DanceSport and You Should Be Dancing.

He has performed at Radio City Music Hall with Tony Bennett, the Rainbow Room with Nell Carter, and Mohegan Sun Casino with Ben Vereen. Brendan believes in the healing power of dance and revels in sharing his love of the art form.

Workshop Philosophy

Fusion is a moving meditation using somatic awareness in a partnered musical setting to explore artful points of connection. Partnered movement can grow from somatic breathing, locomotive flow, rhythmic entrainment, balanced expression, and narrative play to explore deeper ways of connecting with the music, oneself, and one's partners.

She strives for fluidity and flow in every collaboration. Arielle received a 2021 City Artists Corps Grant for her multidisciplinary work.

Workshop Philosophy
